Experience the creamy elegance of Premium Jin Xuan Milk Oolong, grown on Tai Hua Mountain in Anxi, Fujian using the Taiwanese Jin Xuan varietal. This gourmet oolong is lightly roasted and steamed with milk to enhance its natural milk fragrance. A soft, aromatic, and subtly sweet cup.

Tea Facts:

This Milk Oolong is harvested on Tai Hua Mountain, Anxi County, Fujian at an altitude of about 1,100 meters, making it a true High Mountain Oolong. The leaves come from the Taiwanese Jin Xuan varietal (#12), known for its natural creamy character. After a light roast, the tea is also gently steamed with milk, enhancing its signature milk fragrance without overwhelming the delicate floral and sweet nutty notes.

Region of Origin:

Tai Hua Mountain in Anxi, Fujian Province is famous for producing high-quality oolongs at altitude. The cool mountain climate, fertile soil, and frequent mist create ideal conditions for slow-growing leaves that capture the distinctive clarity and fragrance of a true High Mountain Milk Oolong.

Taste and Aroma:

You’ll find a soft, milky fragrance in the aroma, layered over gentle floral and sweet nutty notes. The cup is smooth and enveloping, with a lasting, graceful finish that lingers without heaviness.

Interesting Facts:

Jin Xuan, also known as Taiwan #12, was developed in the 1980s by the Taiwan Tea Research Institute and soon became famous for its natural creamy notes. A popular legend tells that the unique flavour was first discovered when tea bushes were mysteriously bathed in “milk vapour” during a storm — although in reality, the milky taste is a natural trait of the cultivar.

What makes this particular Premium Jin Xuan Milk Oolong distinctive is that, in addition to the natural creamy character of the leaves, it is also lightly roasted and steamed with milk. This rare technique enhances the smooth milky aroma without artificial flavouring, making the tea especially rich and indulgent compared to standard Milk Oolongs.

Brewing Guide:

Use 4–5 g of tea per 100 ml water at around 95 °C. Begin with a brief 10 second rinse, discarding that wash. Then steep gradually: 10 s, 15 s, 20 s, 30 s, 45 s, and continue up to about a minute or more as the flavor lingers. Approach each infusion gently to coax out its subtle creamy and floral notes.

For a Western-style cup, use about 2 g of tea per 200 ml and steep for 2–3 minutes at ~90 °C.

Perfect For:

This tea is perfect for relaxing moments, pairing with light desserts, or as a soothing afternoon companion. Its creamy aroma also works delightfully when brewed cold or enjoyed as iced tea.
